Overview

At Oscar Kilo, the National Police Wellbeing Service, we understand the unique challenges faced by those working in the police and we’ve developed open access, online wellbeing resources that have been designed for policing – by policing. We want every member of the police service to feel confident that their wellbeing is taken seriously, and we’ll make sure that every force has access to the best guidance and support to provide world class wellbeing support for everyone who works for them. Along with support & guidance we’re focusing on providing resources for individual officers and staff, reducing the stigma around mental health, building resilience and improving self-help skills. Our support doesn’t stop when you leave the force. And we’re also here for the families and friends of those working in the police. The Oscar Kilo website is open access which means it doesn’t matter who you are, you can now find out about what the National Police Wellbeing Service offers and see the resources, guidance and examples of best practice that we signpost to. We’re also the only place that hosts the Blue Light Wellbeing Framework, and brings together everyone who is responsible for wellbeing within policing. Our aim is to help every member of the police service to understand how to build personal resilience, to feel confident that they can speak up when things aren’t going well and to get the best personalised support possible when they do.
