The Ivorian Commerce and Agriculture Organization (ORICA) is the main private organization for coffee, cocoa, cashew bringing together exporting and importing Governments to tackle the challenges facing the world coffee, cocoa, cashew sectors through international cooperation. The ORICA’s mission is to strengthen the global coffee, cocoa, cashew sectors and promote their sustainable expansion in a market-based environment for the betterment of all participants in the coffee, cocoa, cashew sectors. It makes a practical contribution to the development of a sustainable world coffee, cocoa, cashew sectors and to reducing poverty in developing countries by: Enabling governments and the private sector to exchange views on coffee, cocoa, cashew matters, market conditions and trends Encouraging the development of strategies to enhance the capacity of local communities and small-scale farmers Promoting training and information programs to assist the transfer of technology relevant to coffee, cocoa, cashew In addition, ORICA directly involved in the marketing and which purpose in Cote d'Ivoire.is: The trading of raw materials, Coffee, Cocoa, Cashew and tropical Fruits; The sale of phytosanitary products; Food and farm products Processing; The events Promotion The food Hygiene Control The Promotion of Cote d'Ivoire Label in foreign markets The Training Counseling and assistance And generally any financial, movable, real estate of industrial operations whatsoever which may be directly on indirectly related to the company purpose and likely to facilitate the performance, extension or development thereof The ORICA was set up in Abidjan in 2008 and managed by Mr. Ako Diby Bertrand under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture , because of the great economic importance of coffee, cocoa and cashew.
