Overview

Orbitz.com is a travel fare aggregator website and travel metasearch engine. The travel company concept was originally developed by Alex Zoghlin - a serial entrepreneur known for starting several notable businesses including Neoglyphics Media Corp, Neo Ventures, and G2 Switchworks. Mr. Zoghlin working in partnership with major airlines (Delta, United, Northwest, Continental and American) established DUNC LLC in 2000 that would later become Orbitz. Alex partnered with a core team of 12 internet heavyweights to co-found the company and start architecting the travel platform codenamed “The Big Kahuna.” Orbitz was acquired by Expedia Group September 2015. Expedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform. Driven by the core belief that travel is a force for good, we help people experience the world in new ways and build lasting connections. We provide industry-leading technology solutions to fuel partner growth and success, while facilitating memorable experiences for travelers. Expedia Group's family of brands includes: Brand Expedia®, Hotels.com®, Expedia® Partner Solutions, Vrbo®, trivago®, Orbitz®, Travelocity®, Hotwire®, Wotif®, ebookers®, CheapTickets®, Expedia Group™ Media Solutions, Expedia Local Expert®, CarRentals.com™, and Expedia Cruises™.
