Overview

Orange Dot Baking Company bakes gluten free English muffins and biscuits with a proprietary baking process that locks in moisture and flavor. We use only high quality, clean ingredients like real butter and olive oil, and never use synthetic ingredients like xanthan gum that can cause an upset tummy. Our bread is versatile and comes in a variety of flavors that will make your brain sing! The bread was originally developed for the founder's son, Andrew, who was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2004. In 2015, Susan founded Orange Dot Baking Company to share her bread and to create employment after reading a report about poverty in Charlottesville called The Orange Dot Report. Orange Dot's Major English muffins and biscuits are truly unique in the gluten free bread world due to their satisfying taste and texture, their variety of flavors, and the quality of the ingredients. Almost every gluten free bread baked commercially contains the synthetic ingredient xanthan gum, which is made by man in a laboratory. While no studies have shown major health problems associated with it, many people have an allergic reaction which causes symptoms ranging from a stomachache to migrain headaches. Many people are not aware that xanthan gum can have this effect. Orange Dot breads contain only delicious, clean ingredients. Today, Orange Dot baked goods are available throughout the US via direct mail, through partners such as Fresh Direct and 4P Foods, and at Whole Foods in the Virginia and Washington DC area. Orange Dot Major English Muffins are versatile, and work well as French toast for breakfast, a turkey sandwich for lunch, or a hamburger bun for dinner. Or try Susan's favorite and spread a toasted Rustic Rosemary Major Muffin with goat cheese and pair with a glass of red wine!
