Overview

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of Isfahan University of Technology is holding this competition. The competitors should have a good background in the field of optimization. Working on optimization issues in a competition allows participants to experience an exciting challenge, in addition to testing their level of knowledge and skills as compared with others. Holding this challenge in a team atmosphere can strengthen the participants' communication and teamwork skills. One part of this competition is a real case study. In this part, the participants will be faced with the challenges and issues of an industrial problem and apply their theoretical knowledge and skills in practice. This will also lead to the formation of a suitable communication platform between the practitioners and the academia. This connection can familiarize the industry with the potentials of the participants and to use the provided ideas in their current optimization problems.
