Overview

Operation Food For Thought is a solution-based platform designed to aid the homeless and displaced population of San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. By collecting non-perishable food items and disbursing them to shelters and food banks, we make it easy for generous individuals to donate on their time; serving as an intermediary between donors and large Non-Profit Organizations to make the process as convenient as possible. The founding of Operation Food For Thought was a realization that, due to the economic turmoil of the late 2000’s mixed with the influx of Silicon Valley dot-commers, the rapid displacement of hundreds of thousands of Bay Area individuals was largely circumstantial. Furthermore, as a platform we work to lift the stigma of homelessness through education on basic economic teachings and mixed market principals. By educating potential donators, we not only generate more collected goods, but we create educational collateral. By creating more empathy at a local level, we strive to make the Bay Area safer, cleaner, and more hospitable.
