Overview

The Occidental College Democrats pledge themselves to promote progressive values by supporting all efforts to increase the participation of college students in political affairs and to promote the policies and positions of the Democratic Party. To these ends, the Occidental College Democrats shall seek to educate, activate, and support its members, enabling them: - To promote student awareness regarding political and social issues. - To advance and articulate intelligent political and social dialogue on campus. - To participate in progressive political change on the local, state, and national level. - To communicate the philosophies of the Democratic Party.
