The NYU GPH Journal of Public Health Disasters is a student-led journal driven by the latest research in public health disaster preparedness and management. Launched in 2021, the journal serves as a platform to share students’ exemplary work products, present current research in the discipline, and communicate the most recent news related to public health disasters. By capturing and sharing the perspective of our students, the journal aims to generate awareness and interest in this growing field of study. We hope to create a space for public health disaster discussions and education while supporting our students’ academic and professional growth. Ultimately, we seek to promote evidence-based approaches to disaster management, as well as to upkeep the field’s standard of research.
