The NWFA’s Certification Program was developed to recognize and promote competence of wood flooring contractors throughout the industry. The program began in 1999 with the introduction of two certified designations: Installation, and Sand & Finish. The program quickly grew to include inspector and sales counselor certification programs as well. In 2004, National Wood Flooring Association Certified Professionals, Inc. was formed as a stand-alone corporation, dedicated to advancing and promoting certified status within the wood flooring industry.
