Overview

The NUS Risk Management Institute (RMI) is one of the leading pioneers of financial risk management research in Asia. The Institute was established in August 2006 and was supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under its program on Risk Management and Financial Innovation. RMI has three main functions: education, research, and training. The main academic research objective of RMI, is to strengthen NUS’s position as a leading global university in risk management and quantitative finance research. RMI is proud of its long-standing Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MFE) program which is synergized with the Double Degree Program (DDP) with Peking University, launched in 2013. Along with many well established open enrolment training workshops RMI also continues to design and conduct customized training programs for various financial institutions to meet their specific needs. Last but not the least, through various conferences, seminars and workshops, RMI also provides a platform where world renowned academics and seasoned risk management executives can exchange and discuss risk management applications and new insights to financial risk.
