NTNU Samfunnsforskning AS er et uavhengig forskningsinstitutt som utvikler og formidler kunnskap innenfor et bredt spekter av samfunnsfaglige og samfunnsrelaterte problemstillinger, som alle er viktige for samfunnsutviklingen. Instituttet ble etablert som aksjeselskap i 2004 som en videreføring av aktiviteter i forskningsstiftelsen Allforsk. Selskapet eies i sin helhet av NTNU og har nært faglig samarbeid med ulike fagmiljøer ved NTNU. Our activities are divided into five academic units: Studio Apertura (Organizational research) CIRiS – The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Space Diversity and inclusion Childhood, adolescence and development NAPHA – national centre of expertise in mental health care for adults We have an interdisciplinary staff of researchers with backgrounds in the social sciences, technology, natural sciences and humanities, and we are making vigorous efforts to develop projects across the boundaries of the academic units. In this way, we believe that we can contribute to new approaches to the development of knowledge in key areas of society. Our academic units work in close cooperation with related research groups at NTNU. The research institute is 100% owned by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
