NOSTRA is an independent literary magazine produced by the Newcomb Scholars program of the Newcomb College Institute. The mission of NOSTRA is to provide a platform for the voices of women, nonbinary, and marginalized students in the Newcomb Scholars program. We publish the writing and art of current Newcomb Scholars and Alum and seek to showcase the creativity of this diverse group of people for the wider Tulane University community. We share original and intellectually curious content, prioritizing intersectionality. As a literary magazine, we want to show the immense wealth of talent found in the Scholars on a platform clearly devoted to marginalized voices. In committing our words to print, NOSTRA seeks not only to provide an outlet for readers and writers but to carve a legacy for our generation of women in Newcomb College Institute and the city of New Orleans.
