Norwich HEART was a private, charitable company set up to act as an umbrella organisation for all the fantastic and often unknown heritage on offer in Norwich. We strategically planned, regenerated, managed and promoted Norwich's heritage resources and acted as a best practice case study nationally and internationally on developing heritage as a vehicle for social and economic regeneration. HEART aimed to: •record, conserve, manage, regenerate and promote Norwich's heritage to show why Norwich deserves to be known as one of the premier heritage destinations in the UK and Europe •achieve an integrated approach to heritage-led regeneration which delivers measurable economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits to demonstrate why heritage should not be seen as a marginal issue
