North West Surrey Health and Care Alliance

Hospitals and Health Care

Overview

The North West Surrey Health and Care Alliance is a formalised partnership of local health and care organisations and local authorities, who have come together to take a different approach to deliver the highest standards of services and best outcomes which will help the people we serve to live happy and healthy lives. The Alliance serves a population of circa 370,000 living across the boroughs of Elmbridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne and Woking. The NW Surrey Alliance is made up of eleven partners, which include: • Surrey Heartlands ICS • Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust • CSH Surrey • Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust • GP Practices and Primary Care Networks • Woking and Sam Beare Hospice • Surrey County Council • Woking Borough Council • Elmbridge Borough Council • Runnymede Borough Council • Spelthorne Borough Council The Alliance seeks to tackle some of the most significant health and care challenges facing people in North West Surrey, transforming the way we operate our services to meet the challenges posed to a 21st century health system. We believe we can achieve more by working together and we are committed to joining up health and care services and considering all of a person’s health, wellbeing and social care needs. This means looking at the wider determinants of health such as housing, education and the environment. Vital to our success is harnessing the skills, expertise, assets and goodwill of local communities to develop a culture of healthy living and supportive neighbourhoods.
