NSF-funded NHERI is a network of natural hazards engineering research facilities based at R1 universities across the US. We develop and simulate techniques for mitigating structural and resulting societal damage incurred by earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, storm surge, tornadoes and landslides. DesignSafe, our cyberinfrastructure, is the nation's default source of natural hazards data.
