Overview

Our mission is the reinvent the way we go about tracking treatments. Looking around the world, we realized that there's just so much that's wrong - and it makes us angry. We want to start with the healthcare system because we know it directly influences every single person's life. At 16 years old, we want to impact 400+ billion people and make a difference. We really want to create a world where health systems are faster and more responsive. By using stem cells and brain-computer interfaces together, we tackle both problems at once. How will we do it? Stem cell therapy is already being used around the world, and the research done on it is growing exponentially. They are already being tested to cure diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and there are many clinical tests run for stem cell therapy for neurodegenerative diseases. Researchers are working to develop medications that promote neural stem cells already in the brain to multiply, migrate towards damaged areas and start the repair process. To ensure cell treatments are effective and successful, it is crucial to track the survival, migration, and differentiation of transplanted cells and to track their capabilities of reconstructing brain function and their biological role. Today’s implantable electrodes degrade within 1 to 2 years, and all connect to wires that pass through holes in the skull. At Neurogen, we are using brain-computer interfaces to create a biomonitoring system which is essential for stem cell therapy. Neurogen believes in keeping our patients involved and informed in every step of the way. Because of this, we will be launching a mobile app that both the patient and the doctor will have access to. The mobile will be receiving real-time data and signals from the brain-computer interface monitoring system we will set up.
