Negomoot is a youth civic association that organizes EU negotiation simulation competitions for university students, with the aim of introducing them to the ways and means of Brussels decision-making processes; and of establishing practice oriented workshops in Hungary’s higher education system. Since our first simulation game in 2008, we can boast to have successfully held more than 40 competitive games with about 3000 participants in total. We organize national competitions for Hungarian youngsters, international competitions in Brussels and Strasbourg, and cross-border competitions in Romania. Students of Corvinus University of Budapest can opt to participate at our competition as an elective module as part of their curriculum. Our finest players have been awarded internships at the European Parliament and in various Hungarian ministries. As recognition of our enduring success we were awarded the Europe prize by Budapest City Council in 2012.
