Overview

As engineers of the future, we believe that we can use technology to design life-saving solutions. Inspired by the shortage of oxygen concentrators that the nation faced with the onset of the third wave, we have decided to take it upon ourselves to strive to ensure that history does not repeat itself. The pandemic still looms over us, even as the second wave wanes, access to vaccines is limited at best, top health experts across the nation have deemed preparing for the third wave to be of utmost importance. Heeding to their counsel and witnessing our near and dear ones struggling during the second wave, we decided to take it upon ourselves to ensure that such a situation does not arise again. The project in its current state, with the sole objective of automating and building a single functional oxygen concentrator on the basis of the Oxikit open-source design is only a small step towards what we aspire to do as a team.
