Overview

The National Jazz Festival is an annual jazz festival open to middle and high school jazz musicians from around the nation. Ensembles, jazz vocal groups, and soloists come to perform, compete and participate in clinics run by professional musicians. The festival is organized and run by volunteers and is funded by grants, advertising, corporate and individual donations. We are grounded in a philosophy of friendly competition, personal growth and music education. The National Jazz Festival welcomed 1200 student jazz musicians to its inaugural festival at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on 2/15/2020 and continued virtually in 2021 and 2022. The festival will be back in person in Philadelphia on April 22, 2023.
