Overview

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) is the peak body for the electrical and communications sector in Australia. The sector employs over 165,000 workers and maintains and annual turnover in excess of $23 billion. NECA provides advice and support to help our 6,200 members, and the wider industry, to operate and manage their businesses more effectively. As is the leading voice of the electrotechnology sector in Australia we represent their interests to government, regulators and industry bodies. NECA provides employment and ongoing skills training for approximately 5,000 apprentices across Australia. We deliver technical advice and training, along with business skills, business development and marketing training for an additional 4,000 qualified electricians. The annual NECA Excellence and Apprentice Awards are the ultimate showcase for the sector in Australia recognising the commitment, professionalism and innovation of NECA members. The Australian Cablers Registration Service (ACRS) is the second largest licensed registrar of cablers in Australia and a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of NECA. NECA has been the leading voice of the electrotechnology industry in Australia for over 100 years.
