Overview

The National Biodiversity Network (NBN) is the United Kingdom's largest partnership for nature. Network members collaborate by collecting and sharing biological data to educate and inform. Members include government agencies, research bodies, local environmental record centres, conservation charities, commercial companies and local, regional and national volunteer recording groups. At national scale the Network aggregates data via the NBN Atlas. This online platform is one of the largest biodiversity databases for any country in the world. It has species distributions maps, information and an interactive mapping tool that can be used to show change over time.
