My Inspiration Portal The goal of the portal is to empower the community of people with disabilities, to develop the social circle and the connection between members of the community, and at the same time to facilitate the coping with the subjective limitations imposed on them by Israeli society and its bureaucracy. Approximately 1.2 million people with disabilities live in the State of Israel, about 70% of whom live with disabilities, which affects their daily functioning. However, despite the fact that more than 10% of the country's population is in Israel, the full (relatively) support is given up to the age of 18 or until the end of the educational frameworks. From the moment that a disabled person goes out to adulthood, his coping is more difficult, including assertion of his rights, lack of access to income and earning a dignified salary, and indifference, insensitivity and even abuse by citizens or commercial companies. My Inspire portal was founded by Mrs. Reut Goldstein, who did not let the cerebral palsy stop her and acquired an education, a profession and a family. Reut's inspiration was the discriminatory treatment she encountered in the labor market. As a result of this experience, Reut decided to create an infrastructure that would constitute a roof for the elderly with disabilities in the State of Israel and create social and business frameworks for them that would facilitate coping with everyday life. In addition to strengthening social ties and gathering all the services, information and needs that are of interest to the community on the website of the association www.myinspire.co.il, the association will act to change policy and address the limitations and regulatory distortions that make life difficult for the community.
