Established in 1980 with the launch of our first newspaper, The Horry Independent, MyHorryNews.com is an award-winning local news source. Online, we are a daily news operation. We also publish a series of award-winning weekly newspapers serving various communities in Horry County, South Carolina, including The Horry Independent, Horry News & Shopper, Loris Scene, Carolina Forest Chronicle, Myrtle Beach Herald, Horry County Business Journal and Visit! The Paper for Visitors. Altogether our print products have a combined circulation of more than 56,000. Since 2005, one or more of our newspapers have won weekly General Excellence awards in the South Carolina Press Association annual awards.
