Founded in 1983, Dr. Meghbaran Mukherjee established Mukherjee Hospital to fulfill both his professional and personal promise. Hence this clinic is a symbol of two things; a doctor's ethical responsibility of treating patients irrespective of their class, creed, gender, and religion and a son's promise to his late father to run the clinic as a place of care and not a profit making institution.
