MOXIE is a professional non-profit theatre founded in 2004 and located in the College Area of San Diego, CA. Our mission is to create more diverse and honest images of women+ for our culture using the intimate art of theatre. We focus on the production of plays written by women+ playwrights, on creating educational programs centered around gender equality, and on providing career-launching professional opportunities for female-identified artists, designers and technicians. Through these programs, MOXIE is creating a pipeline for women+’s work and inspiring audiences to create change in their own communities.
