Real Estate Mouttet Capital Limited is an investment company with its primary activities in the real estate, retail and hotel industries. As a real estate developer, the company owns shopping centers and commercial offices within the Caribbean region. Retail In 2004, the company along with the Promerica group from Central America formed a joint venture with Payless Shoe Source to develop Payless shoe stores in the Caribbean and Central America. Today, this joint venture is the dominant retail shoe company in the region and successfully operates over 220 stores. In 2010, along with Trent Restaurants Limited, Mouttet Capital acquired Linda's Bakery, a local retail bakery chain established in 1959, with just 4 locations. The business has since expanded to 17 locations and a production facility which is focused on providing established food retailers throughout Trinidad and Tobago with high quality freshly made bread and pastries. Hotel In 2005, the company collaborated once again with the Promerica group from Central America to develop a Marriott Courtyard at Invaders Bay, Port of Spain, Trinidad. In 2010 a second Marriott Courtyard was opened in Bridgetown, Barbados and in 2015 a third was opened in New Kingston. The partners subsequently divested their shareholding in the hotel located in Trinidad.
