Overview

Inaugurated in 1929, the piscine Molitor became famous for its two swimming pools, galas and avant-garde atmosphere. For 60 years it was one of the most fashionable venues in Paris. It was closed in 1989 and listed as historical monument before subsequently becoming a sort of open-air street-art gallery and a mecca of the parisian underground. On 19 may 2014, following a three-year construction project, the Molitor reopened, this time as a luxury hotel with a unique ambiance, which can be summed up in three words : pool, art, life. This theme is common to every area of the hotel - its rooms, restaurant, bar, Spa and gallery are all organized around the reconstructed pool areas.
