Overview

MHPS (Philippines) Inc. was formed by the union of Mitsubishi and Hitachi. The company [formerly known as Babcock-Hitachi (Philippines) Inc.] is acknowledged as a leader in design and manufacturing of Power Boilers, Industrial Boilers, and Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) in the Philippines. MHPS-PHL is also the pioneer in offering boiler risk diagnosis services, such as Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) in the Philippines which stems from MHPS-PHL’s vision of offering clients a comprehensive service from design until maintenance services. Founded in November 6, 1989, MHPS-PHL is a joint venture company between Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) of Japan a world renowned boiler manufacturer, and Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Company of Manila, Inc. (AG&P), a heavy metal fabricator and power/industrial plant construction company with 96.57% and 3.53% investment ratio respectively. The plant and head office is located in Bauan, Batangas facing the Batangas Bay, a prime location well-traversed by domestic and international shipping routes. Occupying a total land area of 5.82 hectares (58,246 sq. meters), this Batangas facility is also accredited under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). In the year 2015, we have started turbine and generator rehabilitation projects in the Philippines and is continuously developing our maintenance capabilities through trainings and actual project execution with the assistance of MHPS Nagasaki Works. This new venture of MHPS-PHL is a manifestation that the company is up to the challenge of gaining new expertise to continuously enhance the range of services that it can provide. With the integration to MHPS Group, the company will become more reliable, steadfast to its goals and services through the reinforcements of technical knowledge thus increasing competitiveness with other manufacturers and plant service providers in the region.
