Overview

We all experience anxiety, depression and interpersonal stress at one time or another.Often, we are able to cope with these experiences on our own or with help from our loved ones. When our pain persists despite our best efforts, we turn to someone with training and experience for help. Research and tradition teach us that sharing our painful experiences within the context of a supportive and focused therapeutic relationship can help us cope with and even overcome our emotional pain. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist we have dedicated academic and professional activities to helping others get better. We provide a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic space which aims to enhance self-understanding as well as promoting self-acceptance and self-compassion. We promote new ways of understanding one's pain by helping develop insight and new strategies for problem solving. We provide information and guidance about evidence-based strategies and techniques that can help clients get back on track and achieve personal goals. We also consider the importance of one's relationship with others and how developing new ways of understanding and modifying these relationships can further promote health goals.
