Overview

MICRO’s fleet of six foot tall museums is transforming one of the oldest institutional structures into a distributed network. Working with researchers, designers, technologists, and storytellers, MICRO creates tiny museums that bring award-winning exhibits into unexpected places. MICRO works with innovative partners and venues to install museums in sites where they will have the most impact, like hospitals, transit hubs, building developments and civic spaces. The first museums in MICRO’s fleet focus on the core sciences. Breaking down walls between the scientific community and the public, MICRO provides equal access to fundamental knowledge. Every MICRO museum is a tiny destination, coming soon to a site near you. The Smallest Mollusk Museum: September 2017 The Perpetual Motion Museum: January 2018
