The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of Michigan's most established animal shelters, serving the animals and the community from the corner of MLK and Featherstone since 1953. Each year we provide care to more than 1500 dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption and community outreach. We believe that the "Quality of the Wait" can make all the difference in the future of an animal and as, "A Different Breed of Shelter," we challenge the traditional stereotypes of animal shelters by providing next-level medical care, socialization and training and a client-focused adoption process that sets both animals and adopters up for success.
