Miami Learning Experience School

Education Administration Programs

Overview

Established in 1977 as a private, non-denominational, 501(c)(3) non-profit school, Miami Learning Experience School (MLE) is one of the leading programs in South Florida that offers children and adults with varying developmental disabilities an uninterrupted education from infancy through adulthood. Research and experience point unmistakably to the fact that developmentally disabled individuals have vast potential. Carefully planned programs of learning can not only prevent secondary disabilities, but can expand each student's growth and abilities. As it has always done so, Miami Learning Experience School, continues to practice sequential, theory-based, developmentally appropriate instruction at each level of a child's or adult's life. MLE is a strong and historically sound educational facility in the South Florida community. The campus sits on a lush 3.5 acres property in the heart of South Miami. Currently, we serve 110 individuals with varying disabilities from birth through adulthood. The school's new strategic plan created by administration, families, and Board of Directors is to promote new and meaningful community-wide relationships. As a collective and powerful unit, the administration, faculty, students, and families continue to create history and build a bridge into a rich and meaningful tomorrow.
