The MHT Family Life Center offers pastoral counseling, pastoral care, coaching, and education to individuals, couples, families, organizations, and groups. The centers primary focus is providing compassionate care, empathy, nurturing and hope within the lives of the people who seek healing, wholeness, empowerment, and transformation. We work with persons who are facing but not limited to the following issues: • Anxiety& Stress • Depression • Clergy Support • Identity Issues • Self-Esteem • Women’s Issues • Trauma and Crisis • Grief and Loss Groups Offered • “Why and I Angry” • Recovering from Trauma • “Who Am I” • Transition and Change • Anxiety and Meditation • The Black Women’s Experience In the area of Pre-marital/Marriage and Family Therapy, we work with couples to achieve the following: • Developing healthy communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal • Understanding the power of listening • Re-establishing trust within the relationship • Exploring intimacy • Exploring unhealthy boundaries and developing healthy boundaries • Exploring marital myths and developing a healthy understanding of marriage as covenant
