Overview

The Metaverse Education Council (MEC) is a nonprofit organization that works to promote education for all regardless of location or social status. The MEC believes that education is a human right and should be accessible to everyone. The MEC is a collaborative effort between educators, students, researchers, and business leaders who are interested in using VR and other immersive technologies for education. The MEC leverages the expertise of its board members to create resources, develop standards, and advocate for policies that support the use of metaverse education. The MEC also organizes events and releases research reports to further its mission.
