Overview

MHEG was founded because of two reasons., necessity and belief. Although Damien and David come from different working backgrounds, they are both in agreeance of the absolute need for mental health education and training in ALL areas of the community. They have seen first-hand the effect of a mental health disorder on individuals they know and care for and the subsequent impact it has on their ability to carry out work, daily activities and engage in personally satisfying relationships. They also recognised the landscape was changing for organisations; through gaining accreditation to deliver the Mental Health First Aid course, MHEG realised they had the underpinning tool that could make a difference and initiate change. Coupling their extensive experience in training and education, involvement in working with those with disabilities and the unwavering belief that the course has a tremendously positive impact on individuals and organisations, they can offer industry leading delivery of the course in a secure, tailored manner. Damien and David are not psychiatrists or psychologists, they are engaging and attentive individuals who are wholly and solely committed to offering real world, solution based strategies to these sensitive topics.
