Overview

MéM - Menos é Mais Arquitectos is the office created in Porto, in 1994, by Francisco Vieira de Campos (FAUP) and Cristina Guedes (FAUP). The ability to do more - and better - with less is the atelier's motto, seeking to balance the "economy" of means with the "wealth" in the materiality and emotional involvement of the users. MéM bets on a contemporary and sustainable view of construction. Anticipating the future, and creating, in each project, opportunities to design excellence. They belong, since 2017, to the Royal Institutes of British Architects (RIBA), under the quality of FRIBA International Fellows. Both Architects teach, CG is Guest Professor at USI - Academia di Architettura di Mendrisio and at FAAULP, and FVC is Guest Professor at FAUP and at the Architecture School of the University of Navarra, in Pamplona. As Professors, they have developed investigation projects in the area of collective habitation, focused on the theme of Student Housing.
