Overview

Since 1973, Medi/Nuclear® Corporation has advanced healthcare by focusing exclusively on the development and production of aerosol drug delivery devices for general and deep lung applications, including diagnostic lung imaging and respiratory therapies. Its specialty, closed-system aerosol delivery devices allow ultra-fine particles, many being nano-size, to safely and efficiently target drug delivery to the upper, central and alveolar regions of the lungs. Medi/Nuclear® is an ISO 13485:2016 certified manufacturer and distributor of FDA approved radioaerosol delivery systems used for ventilation lung imaging, filtered nebulizer systems for respiratory care, and aerosol delivery supplies for use in healthcare facilities, emergency response enterprises and research institutes. Its innovations are recognized for safety, improving patient outcomes and the following industry breakthroughs: • Neb 3A+ nebulizer used to deliver ultra-fine particles with 97% being under 1 micron, and 40.8% being less than 0.2 microns. (Used on all radioaerosol delivery systems, aerosol drug delivery devices for systemic and deep lung treatments, and research applications.) • Use of a conserving reservoir and internal air flow control mechanism to speed up dosing to approximately half the typical inhalation time. • Unidirectional air flow to support shallow breathers by virtually eliminating breathing resistance, allowing each breath to be fully medicated, and maintaining an optimal particle size until inhalation. • Closed (filtered) aerosol drug delivery devices with optional scuba style Safety Shield™ Mouthpiece, with protective cap, to reduce possible contamination from the corners of a patient’s mouth and enhancing safety during mouthpiece removal and disposal. • Special kits to safely deliver radioaerosol to ventilator dependent patients. Medi/Nuclear looks forward to working with you to safely and effectively deliver aerosol drugs throughout the lungs, all the way to the alveoli.
