Overview

The McGill Centre for Innovation in Storage and Conversion of Energy (McISCE) brings together researchers from various disciplines to work on cutting-edge research in transformative energy conversion and storage technologies. These scientists are trying to answer questions such as how can we meet net-zero by 2050 targets? How do we use renewable electricity at scale and create opportunities for all? How can we convert and store energy in a more sustainable way and make the new technologies broadly accessible? Their research focusses on four axes: 1. Analysis, Impact and Policy 2. Battery Technologies 3. Hydrogen and Alternative Fuel Technologies 4. Manufacturing & Systems Students are a priority at McISCE. They receive the best training in science, engineering, and impact assessment to support the energy transition and to prepare them for working in all energy-related sectors. The Centre wants to collaborate and build strong partnerships with government, industry, business, and nongovernmental organizations so it can build and share more knowledge and expertise.
