Overview

The Master Health, Ageing and Society is a 1-year fulltime or 2-year parttime programme that focuses on the challenges of the future: the population health management of a growing ageing society. Our society is in need of academic experts who are able to advice companies and governments on the challenges of the growing ageing population. This masters provides young academics with extensive knowledge and dedicated skills to enable students to enhance the lives of the elderly at a macro level. The programme stimulates interdisciplinary thought, admitting students from various bachelor backgrounds: medical, health sciences, health and life sciences, bio-medical sciences, healthcare management, psychology, liberal arts. For medical students, this masters is a excellent supplement, combining efficiently with medical school. To create overview and understanding the challenges, the masters contains five major courses : 1) Future Perspectives 2) The Biology of Vitality and Ageing 3) The Older Individual 4) The Organisation of an Ageing Society 5) Science and Career In addition, students receive extensive training during the whole year in communication in science, academic development and research & evidence.
