Founded since 02/2016, MaSSP stands for Math and Sciences Summer Program. Our mission is to provide Vietnamese high school students, especially those from underprivileged background, with opportunities to learn about research and explore applications of STEM subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. In order to assist students, our mentors, who are alumni, PhD candidates, and students from prestigious universities and institutions in Vietnam and around the world (MIT, Princeton, University of Chicago, École Polytechnique, ENS, VNU...), provide passionate high school students with essential knowledge, research toolkits, and enormous support during and after the program. Continuing the success of MaSSP 2016, MaSSP 2017 had the honor of receiving strong supports from the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) under the leadership of Professor Ngo Bao Chau (Field Medalist 2010). As MaSSP 2017’s distinguished professor, Dr. Haynes Miller, a mathematics professor in Algebraic Topology at MIT, also played a critical role in designing our mathematical projects.
