Overview

Marietta, Ohio, is a picturesque river town with European ambiance. Located on the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers, Marietta was the first permanent settlement in the Northwest Territory, established in 1788. Historic sites and museums include Campus Martius, The Ohio River Museum, and The Castle. Harmar Village is linked to downtown Marietta by a historic turn style railroad bridge and is open to foot traffic. Harmar is home to historical museums, quaint antique shops, and a wide range of eateries.
