Madi's House

Overview

Madi’s House was founded in honor of Madison (Madi) Raleigh, the dearly beloved daughter of Stephen and Julie Raleigh. Madi died by suicide on January 17, 2019 at just 24 years old after battling mental illness for many years. Madi was a fun-loving, family-centered, beautiful soul who could make anyone she met smile. She worked and struggled to stay in this world. However, the mountain of mental illness proved too difficult to overcome following treatment without any aftercare. Madi’s House provides the missing piece after outpatient treatment. It is the solution to empty free time. Madi’s House helps shape the path to a healthy life with art classes, games, movie nights, workout equipment, wellness programs, music, special events, and more. Madi’s House is making a difference because these services are not offered elsewhere in Greater Cincinnati. What Madi needed was a place of support and fun for a young adult who was attempting to change her life. She looked for this kind of support but it didn’t exist. Madi actually came up with the idea when she told Steve and Julie, “If only there was a place to just hang out and have fun for people like me.” The Raleigh Family now assists any and all who are struggling with mental health issues to find true happiness and recovery. through Madi’s House. With Madi’s House, they hope anyone struggling will find relief in order to avoid the same fate Madi faced. Madi was always a charitable person who loved to help others and found great happiness in animals, art, music and especially dancing. Madi enjoyed the great outdoors and you could often find her in a camouflage sweatshirt and hat. The reason that the Raleigh family chose the Camo dominated color and logo. So, the Raleigh family decided to make “camo” & pink the organization’s colors.
