Overview

Linux Users' Group (a.k.a. LUG), Manipal is a conglomeration of individuals who got together because of one common love: the Linux operating system. However, we soon discovered that we had much more in common than Linux: the GNU and Free Software ideals, strong views about the privacy of the individual, and a desire to change the world. We share our knowledge about GNU/LINUX and other FOSS software with everyone through events and workshops. A large number of projects used in MIT are made by LUG Manipal group members (AutoBudder, Teachers Evaluation System, Mitbuzz etc.). Our alumni are active contributors to the world of open source and we also have the highest selection in GSoC from Manipal.
