For home inspectors, it is a constant challenge to get home inspection reports completed quickly without destroying personal time. On a daily basis, multiple reports must be completed expediently, in order to satisfy homeowner and realtor demands. This is especially true if the inspector is in a competitive housing market, or is in high demand due to their local success. The main problem they face is that existing home inspection software has a repetitive and outdated process which is not user friendly or conducive to mobile first technology, leading to many hours of reports needing to be completed on a computer at home, not on the job during their work day. Today, their best options are essentially “dumb” PDF generating softwares that force them to bend to an old paradigm of data entry, classification, and commenting, but of course, those software products don’t leverage new technology to intelligently automate the inspection reporting process.
