At Little Puku we take the work out of mealtimes with dishes that are freshly made, and look and taste appetising. In our home kitchen we prepare a range of meals, finger foods and puddings suitable for babies and toddlers. So whether you want classic favourites like cottage pie or new flavours like creamy chicken and mango curry, we have something that even the fussiest eater will love. So, how did it all start? As a mum myself I'm constantly thinking about what to feed my toddler. With three meals a day it can be exhausting making sure he's well fed and ensuring he's had the right balance of nutrients to keep him healthy. I really wanted to avoid shop-bought processed foods, which looked unappetising and tasted bland, so I found myself creating new dishes for him. It got me thinking about how other mums might cope if they didn't enjoy cooking or have the time, and the idea of creating homemade food for other mums to give to their children grew from there. What does ‘Puku’ mean? The word 'Puku' is Maori for 'tummy' and with a Kiwi father and husband this is a well-used term in my household. With such Kiwi influences it was no surprise that I wanted to use this as my brand name! Where can I find Little Puku? Little Puku is a UK-based brand and we sell our food range at markets in Reading, Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
