Overview

Circular Food Solutions is a B2B company that offers an innovative solution to add value to by-products that emerge in the food production. Considering the current global circumstances and the growing demand for protein, we see it as our mission to make the most of this planet’s existing plant-based resources by using them more efficiently than we have ever before. We cannot afford to use valuable agricultural land for the production of waste. Since our foundation in 2020, Circular Food Solutions wants to bring food upcycling technology to a whole new level while simultaneously creating tasty, healthy and well-textured plant-based meat products. This is our contribution to a Circular Economy. Our services include our end-to-end technology solution for by-product upcycling and transformation into a B2B plant-based meat product, as well as a wide range of product recipes, access to our R&D expertise, market insights and new product developments. We accompany our partners during the entire product lifetime. Our first proprietary & IP-secured technology (patent applied) enables the upcycling of the Brewer’s Spent Grains – a side product of the beer brewing process – and transforming them into delicious plant-based meat alternatives. We are creating a new type of plant-based meat that is not only tasty and meaty but also interesting from a nutritional, sustainability and cost/price perspective. And most importantly: made with the abundantly available and nutritious spent grain from a local brewery. The first, most advanced upcycling plant for spent grain incl. its transformation into a plant-based meat product, is currently under construction by a customer in Switzerland. A concept that is also interesting for other markets that we are now exploring.
