Overview

Lance Rodgers, an award winning contemporary artist with a strong emphasis on painting and photography, resides and maintains a studio in St. Petersburg, Florida. He earned his art degree from Florida State University in 1977. Since then, Rodgers has displayed his art in numerous galleries, museums and collections in the United States and abroad. As Curator of Exhibitions at the Galleries at Salt Creek, St. Petersburg, Florida, Rodgers has mounted elegant, successful and at times, provocative exhibitions for over seventeen years. The paintings Rodgers create use realism as a vehicle to transport the viewer on a journey through his visual narratives. Some are introspections, some are larger, worldly observations often laced with humor and symbolism. All are thoughtful in subject, design and execution.
