Through our Student and Family Engagement Team, Lakemere partners with families to chart the best educational path for their students. We provide research-based intervention programs, help parents navigate public and private sector services, and collaborate with a network of professionals to develop a complete educational plan. As special educators, we are passionate about advocacy for struggling students and families trying to navigate the vast educational choices in Dallas. We are gifted in helping parents sort through the complicated process of diagnosis and developing an intervention team of specialists. Lakemere is able to help parents better understand the legal requirements of IDEA and 504 and how they impact students. Our experiences with thousands of students as academic interventionists, consultants, and teachers includes the following: ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Reading Disabilities of all kinds, Dyscalculia, Asperger's, PDD, SLD, Conduct Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
