Overview

The Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board (WDB) is one of 45 Local Workforce Development Boards in the State of California, certified by the Governor of the State of California. The WDB operates on behalf of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to carry out functions mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 Section 107 (d) and state law California Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (AB 1270) section 25. The Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board provides policy and oversight to the 2nd largest Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA) in California, which services approximately 4 million residents, 57 of the 88 cities and approximately 150 unincorporated communities within Los Angeles County.
