L’ACUDE is a Non-governmental and non-profit making organisation that is established to work with Nigerians and Africans as a whole to bridge the gap in our culture and promote the concept of unity in diversity thereby promoting peace, security and intercultural communication. Quoting the words of Mallam Isma’ila Ahmad, Guest Speaker at the 1st Annual Cultural Day Celebration of Ahmadu Ribadu College, Yola, Adamawa state, on Wednesday, 6th November, 2013, ‘Nigerians, as well as people in any culturally diversified or ethnically mixed society, should maximize the opportunities by fostering “Unity in Diversity,” instead of manipulating the diversity against the unity of their various societies for selfish purposes’. With this in mind, L’acude hopes to achieve a common goal which is the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage because the beauty of our country Nigeria and Africa as a continent lies in the unity of our diversity. Peace and security is birthed only when there is unity.
